Matthew shares, “I enjoyed the wide breadth of subjects available in the IBDP, and the Extended Essay process as I found it very interesting and thought-provoking, prompting me to think in complex and new ways and to take the initiative to work on a project I was passionate about. An education for life means extending to us the skills necessary to thrive in our lives outside of school, teaching us not only academic skills, but also skills such as collaboration, teamwork, empathy, and communication. Jacob Peng – IBDP 44, ATAR 99.6
Jacob embraced the extensive opportunities at St Leonard’s, enjoying a variety of both academic and cocurricular activities such as performing in the Symphony Orchestra and the Victorian Schools Music Festival Orchestra. In sport, Jacob participated in Tennis and also excelled in Table Tennis, receiving the ACS All-Stars Table Tennis Award in 2022 and taking a leadership role as Team Captain in 2023. He also participated in a variety of House sport events and in Northern Star Chess Competitions and Finals. Academically Jacob flourished, demonstrating his skills in a variety of High Potential Learning Programs such as the da Vinci Decathlon and the Australian Computational and Linguistics Olympiad.

Our Class of 2024 will be studying at a variety of tertiary institutions, with the most popular destination being Monash University, followed by The University of Melbourne.
In addition to the local offers featured below, the Class of 2024 also received offers from various universities in other states.?Furthermore, international offers were received from around the globe, most notably from the University of Oxford (UK), University College London, Kings College London and the University of Hong Kong. We congratulate Ines Bescond on being accepted to study a Bachelor of Law with French Law at Magdalen College, Oxford University (UK). Further international are expected up until May 2025.
